Historic sites lit up to mark 100 years of Poland's independence
The Presidential Palace and the Belvedere Palace in Warsaw have been lit up in the colours of the Polish national flag to mark the 100th anniversary of Poland's independence in 2018.
Both historic sites have traditionally served as the official residences of the Polish President.
On 5 December, Polish President Andrzej Duda officially inaugurated year-long celebrations to mark 100 years since Poland regained its independence.
A special committee was established last year to oversee the centenary celebrations. It comprises of parliament marshals, Prime Minister, ministers as well as representatives of political groupings, religious denominations and labour unions, among others.
