Polish tennis star Radwańska triumphs in New Haven
Polish tennis star Agnieszka Radwańska won the WTA Tour tournament in New Haven after beating Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina 6:1, 7:6 on Saturday.
The first set went smoothly for Radwańska, but the second set proceeded to a tie-break, which she won after scoring five points in a row.
Radwańska, 27, was taking part in the tournament for the sixth time, but this is her first time to win the event.
New Haven was her last test before she enters US Open as the no. 4 seed next week.
